Working in the Office Procedures & Support

  • All work in the office must be planned a week ahead (exceptions will be made on a case by case basis)
  • Any work that can be done from home should not be done in the office
  • Once employees complete their work that can only be performed in the office, they should leave the office
  • If there are current processes that require office time that can be adjusted, they should be changed immediately to minimize the need to enter the office
  • Masks must always be worn inside and outside of the lab. Please note that each employee will receive 2 buffs and 5 washable cotton masks. Washing instructions are attached.
  • Handwashing/sanitizing will be required for employees and guests after each activity

Temporary office setup

  • Temporary seating charts have been created for lab-based employees to maintain social distancing.
  • The café and kitchenettes will all be closed to minimize gatherings. If schedules require employees to eat in the office, they must eat at their desks and throw out their food in their own trash can. Delivery services like Lucky Bold and Grubhub can continue to be utilized.
  • Conference rooms will be available for single use only. All group meetings should continue through Zoom and Teams as much as possible.

Temporary office setup

  • All work plan submissions and approvals are communicated through Teams/Pfenex/On-site personnel tracking.
  • Please submit your request by 4pm Wednesday for the upcoming 2 weeks into the “submitted folder”. The request should include the following:
    1. Names of team members
    2. Dates and times
    3. Work location(s)
  • Once you have submitted the request please post a message that you have made a submission
  • The heatmapping team will review the workplans for social distancing and provide approval (or request for revision) by 12pm on Friday
